Dedicated to the memory of Reg

I know we are all feeling a little sad,
That we've lost a Grandad, a friend, a dad,
Today will be a day of warmth, memory sharing and tears,
we will feel perhaps uncertain, a little lost and hold many fears

But Grandad would want us to know that he is in a good place
and that he is watching us all with a smile on his face,
As we have made him so proud, as proud as can be,
That he has raised such a beautiful and loving family

He loved to boast that his 2 granddaughters got so many A stars,
and I know he was very proud of Nige despite his cricket skills not always being on par,
He would have felt lucky that mum became a part of dad's life,
and how she became an incredible mum and wife,

I'll treasure all the adventures, memories and fun,
the days spent in Eastbourne which I swear has a weather forecast of permanent sun,
the fact Grandad always ordered a sherry and a slice of apple pie,
and would then fall asleep in his armchair before it was time to say goodbye

I will always be in awe of the love he had for Gran,
Even when times got tough and life didn't go to plan,
For her he eternally adored and cared,
and I feel blessed I was able to witness the love they shared,

Although he is gone, we will always be together,
and his intelligence, kind nature and witty humour will live on in each one of us forever
So when I look at the sky, I will look for the brightest star,
As that will be Grandad looking down on us from afar. his site is a tribute to Reg. He is much loved and will always be remembered.
